The Basic Telematics Package launch is central to this advancement and is now included as a standard feature in GATX's lease contracts at no extra cost to customers. In this way, by integrating essential telematics into every lease, the company elevates the customer experience and paves the way for more efficient and sustainable transport decisions across the rail industry.

The collaboration with kasasi lowers the barriers to advanced telematics usage, facilitating seamless integration with customers' existing systems and promoting a vibrant exchange of strategic information. "Customers benefit from an enriched experience as all GATX railcars are equipped with telematics devices, providing them with extensive data for improved transport decision-making,” says Elisabeth Jilli, Head of Sales and Service at GATX. Markus Lerch, CEO of kasasi, emphasized the collaboration's role in fostering a future grounded in efficiency, transparency, and innovation, calling them "the cornerstones of outstanding logistics solutions that create real value for the customers.”

Moreover, this partnership introduces direct access for customers to their railcar data via the GATX-kasasi portal, accessible through the GATX website. “This streamlined access not only enhances our customers’ user experience, but also opens possibilities for training and upgrades through the kasasi platform,” commented Elisabeth Jilli.
