VTG GmbH is set to revolutionize Spain's rail freight sector with the launch of its T4000 pocket wagons, specially designed for the Iberian gauge.
With a strategic rollout of 200 wagons, VTG will boost the efficiency and reach of combined transport services across Spain, and their introduction is seen as a critical step towards facilitating a shift from road to rail transport. In a bid to enhance the adaptability of rail systems for non-craneable semi-trailers, VTG, in collaboration with VEGA International, has developed the roadrailLink (r2L) technology. This innovation has already succeeded with the T3000 pocket wagons for the European standard gauge, allowing semi-trailers to be swiftly made craneable and loaded onto wagons for rail transport.
