The tracks from the Slovakian border (Čop) to Lviv will be converted to the European gauge. This will be followed by electrification and reconstruction of signaling systems on the Lviv–Chernivtsi–Vadul-Siret–Derzhkordon routes. Additionally, CEF funds will be used to develop a feasibility study for reconstructing the Lviv railway hub and designing and constructing an electrified track on the Pavlovo-2 / Matovce –Uzhhorod section. The electrification of the track on the Čop–Uzhhorod section will also be included. CEF will cover the costs for the TSI technical harmonization of these projects and other sections like Kovel–Yahodyn–Derzhkordon and Medyka/Mostyska II–Lviv (Sknyliv).
