The La Sagrera-Sant Andreu project, led by Adif Alta Velocidad, has reached 90% completion in its second phase, with over 300,000 work hours put in so far.

The project seeks to create a new route for the Barcelona-Granollers-Girona line through the structure of the future La Sagrera intermodal station and the new Sant Andreu Rodalies station, and is part of the largest infrastructure operation in Catalonia.

This second milestone, a part of the Transformem Rodalies program, represents an investment of more than 18 million euros and is expected to be completed before the end of the year, after three months of work. The project is being carried out by more than 600 professionals and heavy machinery and is operating 24 hours a day.

The new route will eliminate the surface route, modernize the facilities, and provide a more accessible and integrated station that contributes to the development of more sustainable mobility in the north of Barcelona. With less than a month left before its completion, the project has reached 65% completion overall and will require an investment of more than 100 million euros this year.
