Four Coaches, Four Stories of Ecuadorian Design
The Tren Crucero itself is a rolling museum, made up of four individually themed coaches, each reflecting a different era and aesthetic of Ecuador’s architectural history. The first coach is a manifestation of the Baroque elegance of the Spanish colonial period, offering detailed woodwork and design elements that evoke the 17th century. The second coach shifts toward the Neoclassical style prominent during Ecuador’s Republican era, delivering cleaner lines and patriotic motifs.
