Think the Orient Express, but swap the Alps for Andalusia—and add flamenco, gazpacho, and 24/7 elegance. The Al Andalus it’s a moving museum of 1920s glamour, rolling past Moorish palaces, whitewashed villages, and wine-soaked countryside.
Al Andalus, one of the most opulent trains in the world, is a gem of historic and cultural value. The train's lounge, bar, and restaurant carriages were originally built in France between 1929 and 1930 by the Wagon-Lits Company and have since been restored to their original splendor. This luxury train, akin to Spain's 'orient express', encourages leisurely travel and offers a perfect mix of romantic Belle Epoque charm and modern comforts. The train travels through the breathtaking Spanish landscape, with a dedicated train manager available to address any queries.

Suites That Redefine Train Comfort
The accommodation on Al Andalus includes two levels of luxury: Deluxe (Superior) Suites and Grand Class (Standard) Suites. As reported by Ole Spain Tours, the Deluxe Suites span 9.9 square metres, offering double beds, a mini-bar, full bathroom, and convertible daytime lounge seating. The slightly smaller Grand Class Rooms, at 8 square metres, feature twin beds and a generously sized bathroom—perfect for couples or solo travellers looking for comfort without compromise.
All suites are air-conditioned, and each carriage is staffed with dedicated stewards available 24/7 to clean, convert rooms, or simply serve coffee or tea at your request.

Gastronomy and Atmosphere Onboard
Adding to its charm, Al Andalus has four splendid lounge cars dating from 1928 to 1930. These cars function as restaurants, saloons, and lounges, all fitted with large windows for guests to enjoy the spectacular view. These carriages also host music recitals, are air-conditioned, and are accessible 24 hours a day.
Dining aboard Al Andalus is a key part of the experience. Breakfast is served daily on board, while lunches and dinners are typically held at select local restaurants or occasionally on the train itself. Meals feature regional Spanish cuisine, with fine wines and liqueurs included, creating a culinary narrative that matches the richness of the landscapes.
A New Chapter for 2025: Refined Routes and Elevated Luxury
For 2025, Al Andalus continues to evolve while staying true to its roots, offering a refreshed Andalusian itinerary that weaves through the south of Spain with even more elegance. According to luxurytainclub.com, the 7-day, 6-night journey is available in two directions: passengers may travel from Seville to Granada, stopping in Jerez, Cádiz, Ronda, Córdoba, Úbeda, and Linares-Baeza, or begin in Granada and reverse the route back to Seville. In both cases, the train winds through historic Moorish cities, UNESCO-listed towns, and some of Andalusia’s most captivating landscapes.
The 2025 season runs from March to November, with scheduled departures twice a month in spring and autumn—traditionally the best times to enjoy the region’s mild climate and cultural vibrancy. The remaining departures from Seville to Granada are set for September 7 and 21, and October 5. In the opposite direction, Granada to Seville departures include September 8 and 22, October 6 and 20, and November 3.
Pricing for the 2025 season reflects the train’s elevated comfort and exclusivity. The Gran Clase (Twin) suite is priced at EUR 6,000 per person, while the Gran Clase Single comes in at EUR 10,150. For those opting for a Deluxe Suite, fares are EUR 7,150 per person for a double and EUR 12,500 for a single traveller.
