Due to the current flood situation in Austria, several railway lines are interrupted in Salzburg and Tyrol. As a consequence of necessary closures, only a severely restricted train service is possible.

The restrictions in detail:

Due to the current weather conditions, train services have had to be suspended between Golling-Abtenau and Werfen and Bruck-Fusch Bahnhof and Schwarzach-St.Veit Bahnhof. Rail replacement services are also not possible at the moment.

Brenner railway line

Due to mudslides, the Brenner railway line between Innsbruck Central Station and Brennero/Brenner station is interrupted for train traffic until Tuesday, 29 August 2023, 18:00. A rail replacement service (SEV) with buses has been set up for passengers (long-distance and local) in this section.

West line

Due to the flood situation, the western line between Imst-Pitztal Bf and Schönwies is closed to train traffic until Tuesday, 29 August 2023, 18:00. For passengers (long-distance traffic), a rail replacement service with buses has been set up between Ötztal Bf and Landeck-Zams station. For local traffic, a rail replacement service with buses has been set up between Imst-Pitztal and Landeck-Zams.

Mittenwald railway line

The Mittenwaldbahn line is closed to train traffic between Innsbruck-Hötting and Innsbruck Westbahnhof. Customers are requested to change to the regional bus and tram connections in the Innsbruck city area. Trains on the Mittenwaldbahn line start and end at Innsbruck Hötting station.
