foto: METRANS/METRANS Expands Its Reach: New Connections from Rijeka to Budapest and Budapest-Csepel to Indija
In response to growing demands for the expansion of METRANS activities to and from the port of Rijeka, a new regular connection between Rijeka and Budapest will commence starting from June 1. Consequently, tariffs for services to and from the Port of Rijeka and the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, and Hungary will align with those currently applicable to the Port of Koper.
However, this new tariff structure will not affect existing special price agreements. For this connection, Terminal Handling Charges (THC) will amount to EUR 15 per Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit (TEU). This development underlines METRANS's commitment to serving customer needs with enhanced services and is appreciative of the support received from the Port of Rijeka (AGCT).
Additionally, METRANS is pleased to introduce another connection, this time between the HUB terminal in Budapest-Csepel and the terminal in Indija, Serbia. This new service closely follows the inauguration of the Rijeka-Budapest connection and the link between the Port of Rijeka and the terminal in Indija. This pivotal development will provide a robust link for the local Serbian market with all destinations, including ports in the North-West Continent (NWC) and all inland terminals served within METRANS's network.

This connectivity will facilitate transportation from and to Serbia for both deep-sea cargo and Intra-European transportation. Furthermore, this link will enable the supply of empty containers from Budapest to the Serbian market for further shipments abroad. In this scenario, the THC will be set at EUR 10 per TEU.
