As the imminent grain transportation season unfolds, LTG Cargo Ukraine is on the brink of a transformative initiative to reconfigure grain transit from Ukraine to the port of Klaipeda. Beyond the established routes via Yagodin and Mostyska II, the company is charting two additional pathways through the Izov-Wola Baranvoska-Trakiškiai-Kaunas/Klaipėda route and the Izov-Slawkow-Kaunas route.

An important facet of this initiative is the strategic use of Poland's broad-gauge LHS railway line. The company has recently cemented its cooperation with PKP LHS, the extensive broad-gauge railway that snakes from the Polish-Ukrainian border near Hrubieszów deep into Poland, culminating at the terminal in Sławków, near Katowice.

This collaboration symbolizes LTG Cargo's growing footprint in Poland and Ukraine and underscores the pivotal role these nations play in the company's grain shipment strategy. Grain trains, using this strategic collaboration, will journey from Izov to either Wola Baranowska or Sławków terminals. Subsequently, the grain will be moved to Lithuanian Kaunas via the Trakiškiai border crossing. From there, it will be routed to the Port of Klaipeda, readying it for sea transit. Notably, LTG Cargo has been innovative in its transportation methods, testing the transition of wagons from Ukraine by altering bogies, enabling the cargo to remain within Ukrainian wagons as they traverse Poland to Lithuania, where the broad-gauge is similarly employed.
