The Management Board of PKP CARGO S.A. and trade unions operating in the company signed an agreement on pay rises. Thus, the collective dispute at PKP CARGO S.A. has come to an end.

The agreement concluded assumes that the company's employees will be granted a pay rise as of 1 January 2023. The cost of pay rises estimated by the company will amount to approximately PLN 166 million.

The pay rise agreed upon in this agreement exhausts the demands of the Social Side concerning pay rises in 2022 and, thus, results in the termination of the collective dispute at PKP CARGO S.A. initiated in 2022.

"I am glad that the Management Board and the Social Side have managed to reach a wage agreement and thus end the collective dispute in our company," says Dariusz Seliga, President of PKP CARGO S.A. "Thanks to this agreement, we have ensured social peace in the company, which will certainly have a positive impact on the realisation of our transport tasks resulting from contracts with clients," emphasises Dariusz Seliga.

The President of PKP CARGO points out that one of the main priorities for the company's authorities is a concern for human capital.

"The Management Board cares about improving working conditions at PKP CARGO S.A., and one of the elements of these conditions is salaries. Therefore, the current Management Board decided to implement pay rises in the company as of 1 June 2022. The scale of the pay rises takes into account the company's financial capabilities, and, therefore, I would also like to thank our trade union partners for the compromise they have reached," said Dariusz Seliga.
