With effect from July 1, 2023, VTG is reorganizing the management of its subsidiaries VTG Rail Europe GmbH and VTG Rail Logistics, appointing new Managing Directors to oversee operations around the wagon fleet (“assets”) and sales activities.

While maintaining his role as Chief Executive at VTG GmbH and continuing to oversee the VTG Group’s operating business in Europe, Sven Wellbrock will step down from his managerial role at both Group subsidiaries.

Effective July 1, 2023, the company will appoint three additional Managing Directors at both subsidiaries: Klaus Wessing (Head of Sales and Operations), Torben Jaeger (Head of Asset Segment Bulk) and Florian Schumacher (Head of Asset Segment Liquids). Jakob Öhrström, Head of Asset Segment Intermodal and already a Managing Director at VTG Rail Europe GmbH, will now also join the management team at VTG Rail Logistics GmbH in the same capacity. Irrespective of these changes, Hannes Kotratschek (Head of Production) and Wolfgang Seyer (Head of Business Services) will retain their existing positions as Managing Directors at VTG Rail Europe GmbH. Similarly, Andrea Weichert will remain in place as a Managing Director at VTG Rail Logistics GmbH.

“The new management structure is more closely aligned with future operating responsibilities at the company level,” Sven Wellbrock says. “We look forward to continuing successful collaboration within the new management team composition.”
