Reducing the impact on biodiversity in collaboration with the Regional Biodiversity Agency
The Regional Agency for Biodiversity aims to network biodiversity stakeholders in Burgundy-Franche-Comté and organize, share and enhance knowledge for decision-making purposes.
As such, the Regional Agency Burgundy-Franche-Comté pilots the innovative tool, SIGOGNE, which opens at different scales depending on the public access to geographical information of biodiversity on animals, plants, and natural habitats present on the territory.
The Burgundy-Franche-Comté Regional Agency wishes to act with the economic mode to make biodiversity an issue of development and job creation but also involve the adhesion and participation of various parties and citizens.

Reconciling biodiversity and the rail network: Better understanding for better action!
The signing of the agreement establishes a partnership between SNCF Réseau and the Burgundy-Franche-Comté Regional Biodiversity Agency for a renewable period of one year.
This partnership has several objectives:
- to reconcile railway works and biodiversity
- to optimize the maintenance and development of the heritage of the railways while taking into account the space necessary for biodiversity
- to respect the prescriptions of compensatory measures for the environment
- to respond appropriately to the challenges of sustainable development and the projects of enhancement of this heritage.
The partnership agreement is based on these different issues to have a general knowledge of the heritage and think together about taking biodiversity into account through joint studies and awareness-raising actions for SNCF Réseau employees.
The FC Regional Biodiversity Agency and SNCF Réseau are launching their first experimental work on the recommendations to be made in favour of biodiversity on the network of non-traffic lines through environmental enhancement and the training of agents to the challenges of biodiversity issues.
