The collaboration between PKP Intercity and Kozminski University marks another important step towards developing the competencies and professionalising the personnel for the railway sector in Poland.

The new educational offer developed through the partnership will include various training programmes, internships, practical classes, and study visits that will enable the university students to develop their professional competencies. The agreement also provides for mutual support and continuous exchange of experience for the development and research of the railway industry, with the parties carrying out joint scientific and research projects, preparing analyses and expert opinions, and organising study visits.

The signing of this agreement also highlights PKP Intercity's ambitious development plans that involve multi-billion investments in rolling stock, infrastructure, and IT solutions. In all these areas, the company needs specialised staff, and it is placing increasing emphasis on the exchange of knowledge and experience with the scientific community. By educating young, talented people willing to broaden their horizons, PKP Intercity is preparing them to take on the responsibility of constructing and developing Polish railways. With the collaboration between the railway sector and science being a driving force behind the growth in innovation in the Polish railways, this partnership is expected to help fuel the entire Polish economy.
