Amidst a pivotal phase of growth and transformation, LTG Infra is spearheading multiple projects, most notably the Rail Baltica initiative aimed at integrating Lithuania's rail network with Western Europe. Additionally, advancements like the electrification of the Kaišiadorys-Klaipėda railway sector and the Vilnius node are rapidly progressing. "The goal remains to amplify the efficacy, safety, and modernization of our railway processes and infrastructure," remarked Gediminas Almantas, the Chairman of LTG Infra's board. "Extending the application period ensures we select the most qualified individual to guide LTG Infra during these transformative times."

As a subsidiary of the LTG Group, LTG Infra is central to the management and enhancement of Lithuania's railway system. While Karolis Sankovski held the CEO position until March, Rūta Jakubauskienė has been the interim head since April. The overarching LTG Group encompasses the parent entity, Lietuvos geležinkeliai (LTG), and its chief divisions, namely LTG Cargo, handling freight transport; LTG Link, focused on passenger transit; and LTG Infra, dedicated to the nation's railway infrastructure and its subsequent evolution.
